And the 18th has come and gone with no announcement.

Oh well.

Re: Wiped Episode Discoveries

Did anyone honestly expect one? Last time we had a media released from the BBC, numerous hints by various people (even Ian Levine knew beforehand that nine eps were being released that day) and a media event in which two past companions confirmed they were attending.

There wouldn't just be an announcement is time. I would hope the same would be done for other stories when the time came. I'd love to hear William Russell has been invited to an event, cos the main story that he's in that is missing is pretty bloody special.

Re: Wiped Episode Discoveries

Philip Morris did a Facebook Q&A today on the missing episodes.

I don't want to be one to parse, but these two statements really stand out for me.

And fans will just want a yes or no haven't you or have you. But its complex all I can say is the wind is blowing the right way be patient.
I dont wish to jeopardise the ongoing project in any way .And feel the fans of all lost tv will be very happy with the outcome.
Makes one wonder.

I can hear Moby Dick stirring in the deep...

But honestly, I'd like this to mean that he's on the path to finding the pot of gold, he's just not at the end of the rainbow yet, but he's confident he has got a good scent of the bullion!

I love Ian's response to the Q&A:

From 9pm, I am switching off my computer and my phone. I refuse to have contact with anyone. As far as I am concerned, Morris doesn't exist

The ongoing saga is more interesting than the actual episodes...

If only we could pretend Ian doesn't exist.

It's sad really; a 60 year old man who acts like a spoiled 12 year old throwing tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants.

This may not work, as I'm posting from a tablet.

Facebook Q&A.

Oh yay, more quotes to be taken out of context and serve as fuel to the fire.

Although, it's worth it for that.

It's on the Doctor Who Missing Episodes Discussion Group, a closed group (who will welcome anyone) Phil is just a member there.
