Writer Richard Matheson Dies

Sad to report that Richard Matheson has died at 81 years of age.

Trekkies know him for writing 'The Enemy Within'. He was famous and loved in Sci-Fi circles as a novelist and screenwriter working on The Twilight Zone, etc. He also wrote the novel I Am Legend.
Samuel T. Cogley said: "Look, every single one of us is going to see Star Trek XI. So let's cut the crap."

Heck, one of his stories, "The Splendid Source," was even turned into an episode of Family Guy. Really.

If you have any interest in science fiction, fantasy, or horror, you have been exposed to his work, even if you've never read any of his books or stories.
