Thanks guys, I appreciate that. I don't know why releasing two versions didn't occur to me earlier to be honest.

I've done quite a few variations of this design and overall, I prefer this one - with no supergun but with that third nacelle.

In fact, it should be called the USS Brutal Beast.

Lol, I was actually thinking something along the lines of the USS Inferno but Brutal Beast will do! Here's more renders I did last night;

Re: Big Bad Dreadnought

This is something I've been working on for the last day or two.

My Federation Dreadnought giving the poor old USS Enterprise a bit of a hammering in a nebula. Star Trek Into Darkness production designer Scott Chambliss did a piece of concept art for the USS Vengeance that directly inspired this piece. Many thanks go to Xhable for the use of his very fine USS Enterprise.

What do you think?

Ooh, I think it's better that way. I'd get rid of the third nacelle, because I never liked the designs with three (including the refit 1701-D from the TNG finale.) Otherwise it's a good start.

I agree with you about the third nacelle. The design looks much better without it.
But seriously, the spike in the center makes it look awesome!

I agree about having no third nacelle also. The spike is a great version of the super-phaser that we saw in the All Good Things D

It is quite a brutal looking ship. I liked the third nacelle from above but seen from in front the impression is quite different.
