Watched Silence of the Lambs on NF yesterday and he was very much alive, he had control of everything pertaining to HL.

Had me thinking Hannibal must be a reboot/alternate universe OR this was a set-up. But yeah, he really did look dead, so I don't know...
What are you talking about? Of course it's an alternate universe, that was never up for debate, the series is not in continuity with the novels or any other previous adaptation.
Okay. I never read the novels as my interest in HL has always been limited to whatever movie on the subject came along, and of those, I didn't see them in chronological order so my sense of previous continuity wasn't clear to begin with.

This actually makes Hannibal even better since all that past continuity is scrapped and the future is wide open for anything. Thanks for setting me straight.

Dr. Chilton may not be dead. Look at Miriam Lass after all. I've learned with Hannibal that nobody is dead unless you see a body.
Um, we saw Miriam shoot him through the head. Brain splatter and everything.
I thought he was shot through the face/cheek?

Fuller has an interview on AV Club for every episode this season. He didn't exactly close the door on Chilton.

I'll be disappointed if Chilton survives the shot considering what was shown.

I like how things are turning out in the most recent episode. Will is becoming far more interesting a character and his arc is shaping up nicely. Or is this just a big trap for Lector?

No, that was probably the meat of Man Bear Pig. Although Will still willingly ate it.

That was a great episode. I too think that was Man bear but at the same time Will really roughed up that reporter chick. I almost hope he did it as it would be such a mind **** way for the show to go.

Pretty much the only mistake Will made was when he acted like a damn psycho in the barn instead of explaining his plan like a sane person. After that he pretty much had to catch Freddie by any means necessary because she could have ruined the whole ruse in a heartbeat and send Will back to jail.

Well, she did just find body parts in the freezer, so anything he said was going to "sound like a psycho" until he had a chance to get her to calm down and listen.
