If anything, it's my Ent-D that I'm a bit disappointed in. The paint is kind of screwed up around the "USS Enterprise" name on top. The little black windows above the name are shifted towards the starboard side. As if the "machine" shifted as it was being painted. (I highly doubt these all are hand-painted, as they claim, even though I got a response about that from that dude that is in charge, saying that they were, but he's not directly in charge of the mass production process.)
Depends on how you take "hand-painted". If you mean "someone going at it with a brush"... No, they're not. But it's, sadly, cheaper to have some barely-paid human hold the paint mask and spray gun than it would be to have a machine customised to clamp each individual type of model in place.

Not the best quality photos, but here is my collection so far after six Starfleet vessels and DS9 in the middle.

Man, at two of these things per month, plus the various special editions, I think I'm going to running out of space to display them.

I received my Voyager and Romulan Warbird today. Very nice and I continually am impressed with the magazines.

Space may be vast, but shelf space is another story. Also, it is not an insignificant amount of money to spend each month.

That said, I'm in! Just got my Voyager and Warbird.

With shipping, the included magazine and the over quality (especially compared to some of the Hot Wheels ships) I do say they are decent value for what you pay, even if the frequency of releases may put some off who "gotta catch em all".

Hmmm... I wonder if my Christmas tree could support the 7o some ships they have planned on... DS9 as the tree topper?!

I ran out of space years ago. I'd have to literally have every wall in my house lines with shelves to display 50% of what I own. As it is, 80% of it remains in large boxes. I have one room where they go to the ceiling...

As it is these ships have good boxes they come in so keeping them together in box and switching out which ones I display will be easier.

My real question is what to do with other (lesser?) versions now. Like the Furuta ships from Japan. Next to this new Voyager, that one looks truly shameful, lol.

As it is, I find myself wanting to not display any hero ship more and more. I'm so tired of the heroes! It's the elusive and rare ones I like to keep on display. The ones I don't have in sizes ranging from half and inch to 6 feet long, lol.

(Seriously, if you count the inflatable pool raft Enterprise-D I have, I have that ship in sizes from half an inch to 6 foot long... it's crazy!)

I don't know if anyone involved with the magazine might read this, but Dukat's ship Groumall from "Indiscretion" would be a cool model to see made.

I'm still waiting to be billed for issues #5 and #6, as well. I emailed them and they said, "We expect to charge and ship these to you this month."

It's just a bit annoying because people who buy the ships at the comic shops got their ships a week or two ago. I've got the subscription and I'm just left here scratching my head at what's going on.

I mean, for heaven's sake... Shut Up and Take My Money, already!

^ At least you can get them. For some reason they couldn't launch in Canada simultaneously with the US, so I have to wait for sometime in 2014! ::jealous::

Although, I just now checked Memory Alpha, and they claim that these are available to Canadian retailers through Diamond. I have *never* seen these available in any LCS, but I guess now that I know it's possible, I suppose I should ask. Have any other Canadians found these in shops?

OTOH, maybe it's just better to wait until subscriptions become available, since there are certain bonuses only available to subscribers, and I generally don't want to buy the same ships twice...

Been enjoying issues 5 & 6 for a few days now. Much better quality than issues 1 & 2. Hopefully this better quality continues for the rest of the series.

What one-off seen ship are you all looking forward too the most?

Right now it's the Dauntless and the Krenim time ship for me.

I've considered that with my nephew, but I know they'll just end up lost and/or broken.

I had a hell of a time finding some micro machine ships for him, and sure enough they're all in the wind lost somewhere.

In another two or three years though, he'll be old enough to not lose stuff so easily (he's 7 now; half way to 8). I still have toys I had when I was 9 or 10, where as I've got very little of what I had at 7 or 8. Strange how 2-3 years makes a difference... :P

He's had a bunch of my old poorly built models I made as a teen for a while; managed to break one I'd kept repairing forever. Amazed at that, that thing seemed indestructible! lol.

I have gotten him to start appreciating the value of, what I call, "look-at toys" like these though. Bought him one of the Batman cars Eagle Moss is doing from his favorite Batman show, Brave and the Bold. He's got a hot wheels size to play with, but this one sits up on his DVD player in it's glass case so he'll have it hopefully when he's older, lol. Wish someone had taught such values to me, I'd have all my old stuff still haha. Oh the silliness of youth... so many toys I'd still have in package!
