How come we never see the crew ablute?

In any series we never get to see the crew carrying out their ablutions. Do these guys ever ablute?

Archer was seen taking a shower in ENT and Torres in VOY, IIRC.

Otherwise, such things can easily be considered to take place off-screen.

At least as of TMP, crew quarters came equipped with sonic showers. They surely didn't include them for decoration.

Ha, am I massive idiot for having to look up the word?

Is it a common word for some people? I've never heard it used anyway. I'd just say "wash."

And yeah it wasn't really till the latter days of VOY that CGI was good enough that you could see what a sonic shower was meant to do (at least to Torres in Juggernaut where it kinda 'pulled' the dirt off her)

Trip and T'Pol shared a steamy shower. But it was a dream. Think Hoshi took a shower too. But not with them!

Troi was in a bath tub when she turned into aqua-girl.

And with Riker in Insurrection.
