April Art Challenge - B.J.'s 2nd entry

Beauty AND the beast, all in one!

This was done in GIMP. I happened to come across this tutorial on deviantArt for doing fur/hair, and it seemed perfect for doing a tribble! The only real difference is that in GIMP, I used the Bristles 02 brush (standard with GIMP) when doing the smudges.

"Ah, good! You found one of M'Ress' 'bra stuffers'."

Seriously, nice work on the smudging technique. That subtle shading around the outer edge, a tad darker underneath really gives it a sense of being quasi spherical.

Sincerely,

Bill

^Depends on how you look at it. Uhura would think it's adorable, while Nilz Baris would definitely think it's a beast!

Tell me, do they still sing the songs of The Great Tribble Hunt?

To the beat of "Ride of the Valkyries"...

Kill the twibbles...
Kill them dead!"
