That scene is going to be lots of fun on a theatre-size screen. Even more so in 3D, I'd imagine.

You were totally dithering. I could tell.

Love the look of the new BOP. More of an more industrial aesthetic. Oh, and it's not green.

The Klingon ship sort of sounds like a Jedi Starfighter from Revenge of the Sith. The ship the crew is in reminds me of the flying sub.

The scene feels like Empire Strikes Back. I was waiting for Kirk to tell Spock "never tell me the odds"

I love the new Bird of Prey! The way it's wings keep moving! Especially when it's breaking hard to avoid crashing at the end. Was that a little "squark!" I heard? Love it.

Looks like we will get to see Cupcake exercise his Security Guard fighting skills against the Klingons.

Nah. When the door to the ship opens, he'll be the first off and the first shot. Gotta be.

Lol.......you're probably right but I hope not. I hope he makes it to the next movie as 'Chief of Security Cupcake'.

On the subject of the Bird of Prey sounding like a Tie-Fighter... this is not the first time.

Watch Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock. Just before the Grissom explodes the BoP is making its way off the screen, in that instant before the explosion I could swear the exact same tie-fighter sound effect is used.

I've never understood why anyone gives a rat's ass about Cupcake. He's the most minor of characters, barely above a background extra, and he's a jerk.
Soooo, basically the Baba Fett of the Star Trek franchise.

Kirk: This is a very dangerous mission. It will consist of me, Commander Spock, Lt. Uhura, and Ensign Cupcake.

Maybe Cupcake will be Star Trek's ultimate Wedge-type character.

yeah it was definitely ESB inspired. i was expecting the Bird of Prey to crash and explode like tie fighters did in Empire.
