Well personally I prefer Season 1 & 2 to Season 3 & 4 but that's an extremely minority opinion around here.

But really other people's opinions don't matter - go into the Season 2,3 & 4 with the same attitude you did for Season 1 and make up your own mind. (and then come here and shout down anyone who disagrees with you )

Have fun

Re: Season 1

It is a bit like with TNG, the first two seasons might be "objectively" (obviously this is a nonsensical term when talking about art/entertainment but I think one can use it in the sense of ignoring one's own preferences for the moment) worse than the third and fourth one but there are some ingredients in the early episodes which are later totally absent: the galaxy feels large, unexplored and mysterious, especially 2nd season episodes are often directly mysterious (e.g. The Royale or Contagion respectively Deadstop and Vanishing Point) and there is less continuity weaving / serialization (which enhances the feeling that space is empty).

Re: Season 1

Hello everyone

I never watched Enterprise first time round so decided to jump in a week or two ago.

I'm not nearly halfway through season 2.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like it to be honest. Apart from Reid (who is very annoying) and Tucker is a bit clichéd, I like the other characters.

However the writing, editing and general lethargy of Season 2 up until now is very disappointing and its no surprise why ratings flopped, first time round.

However I'll stick with it and hopefully Season 3 perks up...

Re: Season 1

Season 3 is considerably better.

I think even those of us who love the series put Season 2 at the bottom when ranking them, although there are good episodes in there. I like First Flight and The Expanse, and I actually like Cogenitor as it makes you think.

Re: Season 1

I just finished Season 1 too and I think there were definitely a few shining episodes. Some stinkers, sure. But overall I am really liking it a lot. I don't get why a lot of Trek fans tend to dislike it so much. I really like T'Pol. I looked ahead and saw who she eventually gets paired with (I won't reveal spoilers here!) and I'm not sure what to think of it yet.

My favorite episodes are the later ones of Season 1. From "Shadows of P'Jem" and on.

Anyway, I'm excited to start Season 2~

Re: Season 1

I liked Season 1 for the most part, but it wasn't as good as Season 3. I would actually put it up against Season 4 though, which I think is an overrated season. There were many good episodes in Season 1 like Broken Bow, Shuttlepod 1, Vox Sola, and Shockwave.

He was also the Ferengi who tortured Troi's mom in TNG's Menage a Trois.

Ethan hit up everything except DS9? Dang.
He would have been too young for TOS lol.

Oh man... René Auberjonois (Odo) too!
ENT seems to be full of previous Trek actors.

Re: Season 1

Season 1: Mostly meh, with a few good episodes
Season 2: Pretty mediocre for the most part, with a few standouts (First Flight, Cogenitor, and Regeneration, the Borg episode few wanted but actually turned out pretty good)
Season 3: Good
Season 4: Very good to great

Season 1+2: Between OK and Good
Season 3+4: Between Good and Very Good

I don't think that S2 is that much worse than the first one. At least not in my memory. It's been a while since I've seen it. But there are many S2 epsiodes that I like a lot: Minefield, Dead stop, Vanishing Point, The Catwalk, Future Tense, Regeneration, The Expanse

Got another one haha. Roxann Dawson in "Dead Stop". Did anyone NOT guest star on ENT?

Re: Season 1

The first two seasons are about even for me. I might give the first an edge as it was enjoyable seeing them encounter certain things for the first time. I'd say the first two seasons are good, but season 3 is really good, having a firmer direction. Season 4 is my favorite, it an amazing season that only has a couple bad episodes, but most are great and make great use of the premise of the series.
