Episodes/Movies You Have No Desire to Revisit...

One of the great things about Star Trek is its "rewatchability factor". Most of Star Trek is like sex and pizza, even when it's bad, it's good. But I'm sure that every fan has a list of those episodes/movies that they have no desire to ever revisit.

So here's my "top 10"...

1. Star Trek: Insurrection
2. Enterprise - Dear, Doctor
3. Star Trek - And the Children Shall Lead
4. The Next Generation - Sub-Rosa
5. Voyager - Fair Haven/Spirit Folk
6. The Next Generation - Code of Honor
7. Deep Space Nine - Babel
8. The Next Generation - The Inner Light
9. Enterprise - A Night in Sickbay
10. The Next Generation - Homeward

Wow, let's see...
Some of the stupider TOS eps like And the Children Shall Lead, Way to Eden and Alternative Factor.
There are only a few TNG eps I care to see again.
Voyager and Enterprise may rot on the shelf. Well, some S4 eps of E were okay.
ST:III and V
I don't care for any of the TNG movies. The first act of Generations was fun thanks to Shat & Co, but after that, pew.

Otherwise, I love it all!!!

There are lots of episodes I wouldn't go out of my way to watch again.

As for movies, the only ones I wouldn't see again are TMP and Nemesis.

* Quite a bit of TOS, incl. Corbomite, Court Martial and Arena, which I know will seem sacrilegious.
* Practically all of TNG.
* VOY - Nemesis; Memorial. And most Kazon eps pretty dull.
* DS9 - that one where Bashir and O'Brien stuck in bunker; most O'Brien-must-suffer episodes; mid-Season 7 Covenant through to Field of Fire. Worst dip in any series.
* ENT - even the bad ones I'll sometimes bear for the B-story. But TATV? Never again.
* ST:IV
* INS (except with Frakes-Sirtis commentary)

There are plenty of episodes I try and avoid, but eventually enough time passes that I forget their awfulness. And then I make the mistake of seeing Star Trek V: The Final Frontier again.

No Desire to See Again:

1. Star Trek: Nemesis

2. Star Trek Enterprise (S1-S4)

3. Star Trek: Insurrection

4. Star Trek: Generations

5. Star Trek: The Animated Series*

*= Really haven't seen it in at least 10-15 years nor have I missed it. Not saying it's bad, however, my recollection of TAS is that it was not above average entertainment.

Not really, "It's Only a Paper Moon" was brilliant and "Field of Fire" was pretty good too.

Top of the list would have to be "Masks."

Followed by the entire Xindi story line.

And "The Year of Hell," tedious.

I felt downright embarrassed when someone walked into the room when Masks was on tv.

Other bad episodes...

Shades of Grey
Q and the Grey
Endgame
TATV
Code of Honor

I could really get going but that rounds out the list.

VOYAGER "The Fight," the one where Chakotay hallucinates that he's a boxer, was for me the least entertaining episode in all of STAR TREK.

Honestly, escaping into the extended Star Trek universe, any Star Trek, is always a real joy and pleasure for me. Of course, I can recognise weak episodes/movies (hello Nemesis), but I can genuinely say there's no Trek that's bad enough for me to hang a "never again" tag on.

"the alternative factor"
"shades of gray"
"let he who is without sin"
"profit and lace"
"fair haven/spirit folk"
"the fight"
"a night in sickbay"

what makes the list isn't just bad, but BORING bad. I can tolerate bad like "spock's brain" or "threshold" because they're entertaining bad.

I've found that over the years that I hate "holodeck episodes." While I might have enjoyed some of them the first go around I generally can't watch them multiple times. Without further ado.

Heroes and Demons - VOY
Dramatis Personae - DS9
Shades of Grey - TNG
The Paradise Syndrome - TOS

The Big Goodbye - TNG

er, only two of those episodes are really "holodeck episodes."
