No offence to that Monkey's fortitude, honesty and righteousness, but he was probably still dreaming about how perfect Min was for him on his honeymoon to Dee.

That might be embarrassing at the wrong time: "Oh, that was great, Min... uh, Deanna."

Why would ANYONE want to be in a relationship with a Betazoid.

Yes it would be embarrassing but it wouldn't matter if he managed not to say it, the emotional "oh shit" moment he'd have about almost saying the wrong name would be enough to alert her. And then there would be a long mid-coital conversation about why he was feeling embarrassed and secretive.

Which would result in a situation similar to a trititanium bar transforming into a limp noodle.

Riker likes submissive women.

Why not 7/T? Okay Tuvok is married, but Janeway's not a lesbian and everybody seems super into that idea.

Super into the idea of Janeway being a lesbian?

I'm kind of more into the Janeway as a lipstick lesbian deal.

Re: Confession: Why I am now 7/R

There's no such thing as sexual orientation in the future because there is no bias.

No lesbians, no gays, no straights... Everyone is a human being equally because no one is taught that there is any where they shouldn't put their sex organs.

Although to use olden-day language, everyone is bisexual.

You've just de-gayed everybody. No more born this way in the future?! Everyone born happy to do whatever with whomever? No specialization?

In the future, just as today, those who cling to their traditions will be referred to as "old farts".

Re: Confession: Why I am now 7/R

Rodenberry clearly said in the adaptation of the Motion Picture that everyone in the Federation is bisexual except Kirk.

When that book was first published in the 70s, the current theories, arguments and facts about homosexuality hadn't been born yet, so although progressive for the time, eat me.

I like this brave new future where everybody can eat you. Except Kirk.

"There are certain things men must do to remain men." Captain James T. Kirk

That's either a glass half full or a glass half empty depending on who is writing the story.
