I'm only about halfway through the show, but does anyone else think it's weird that Blake and Danielle are singing a song to each other about falling in love? They are even staring into each others' eyes as they sing...uhh creepy.
People do that when they sing duets.
Well obviously, but presumably they had some choice in the song they sang, and a 16 year old girl and her 35 year old coach singing a song to each other about falling in love just gave off the creepy vibes.
Its just two people singing a song. I'm sure there have been other duets with a 20 year age gap between the performers.

Yes but not an age gap that constituted a felony.

Anyway, it was a pretty boring season that ended in a pretty boring fashion. I am not looking forward to Christina Aguilera being back. I actually think I might skip next season.

It's a felony to sing a song with a teenager?

I was hoping for a Michelle upset, myself. Danielle had it in the bag. The real battle was for second place.

This isn't really that complicated. The subject matter of the song was creepy given their ages and relationship (coach/student). There's millions of other songs they could have chosen for a duet but they chose that one and it was uncomfortable to watch. I understand that duet partners may not always be romantically involved even though they sing about it, but the circumstances of this particular instance just seemed a bit inappropriate to me. I'm not the only one that noticed it, my coworker actually pointed out the same thing to me. My mom also told me she thought they had had kind of a creepy relationship the whole season. It was even mentioned in a Rolling Stone article. This isn't a totally crazy reaction.

Re: The Voice 4

Blake has always had his creepy 'Too old to be a big brother' relationship with young females on his team. Remember Xenia? Nobody but him thought she was that good. He had one every season.

But I'm sure they selected that song for purely pandering reasons. Any emotion expressed in a song sung by either Blake Shelton or Danielle Bradbery is by definition insincere, so I have no doubt they have no real romantic feelings for each other.
