Malachi Throne, RIP

I was sad to hear of Malachi Throne's passing (Commodore Mendez in "The Menagerie"). I enjoyed all his roles/performances, but it was wonderful seeing him in New Voyages. With his performance with us there, he truly spanned all iterations of Trek, save the JJA version. A great guy to meet, too. He spoke enthusiastically about working with us(the fans) at conventions that I attended.

Mr. Throne, you truly take a place in the firmament of Trek figures who are now, literally, part of the stars. Rest peacefully.

I didn't know that he was offered the role of McCoy and declined.
