In little greenmen, if things worked more with Quarks Fantasy..

a variety of questions first, if Things in LIttle greenmen had worked more in accord with quarks fantasy think Odo would have seen fit to sabotage it?

It would probaly have been a blow to Odo's ego HAVING to sabotage it.

Second if nothing happened to offset it, I find myself nervous how things would have developed, with the Ferengi Alliance as the Major Power of the Quadrant.

I think he means, if Earth had become business partners with the Ferengi as Quark imagined, would Odo have had to stop them.

Yes.

Re: In little greenmen, if things worked more with Quarks Fantasy..

Eh, the problem with Quark's fantasy is that, for the most part, Quark himself would have been entirely useless. Rom would have been much more useful.

Quark, although he is accustomed to using the various technologies like replicators and warp drive, he doesn't really know how to produce them. Very few, if any, on this site, would be able to properly explain how to create a car's engine, even though we all probably use motorized vehicles in our daily routines. Other than maybe providing some new cocktails, he'd be out of luck.

Rom, however, is quite skillful as an engineer/mechanic, and would have a better understanding of the fundamentals of how some of the advanced technology operates, and would likely be useful to help decrypt and translate the computer's files as well.

Both of them would be pretty much equally valuable, I think - Rom's the engineer who can figure everything out, but Quark is much more of a people person - probably able to get a much better deal out of what Rom's doing. So Rom could be a behind-the-scenes guy while Quark's out front selling it to the natives...

Rom would not have been able to broker the deal.

hmmmn good point?

OH a curious question?

How a Ferengi Contract lawyer operates?

Since, on one hand he's spent YEARS training in knowing how to use loopholes to Screw people over.

but if he's hired by someone pulling a loophole on THEM is a good way to get a bad rep?

IDea's on how he'd handle that?
