That's slightly unfair - it was originally an idea to keep the production team together if production of SJA season 5b/6 had to be postponed until Elisabeth Sladen was well enough to return to work. Like doing the Spartacus prequel instead of season two in the hope that Andy Whitfield would recover from his illness.
