Grimm is Shit.
Red vs Blue. (Web series) Foul mouth soldiers with low IQs trying to survive inside a Halo Game. They use a game generator to animate the series with graphics from the game. I think it's 90 percent unscripted.
It's 100% scripted. I've been a fan from day one, and to Rooster Teeth in general (the guys behind it). It is, however, hilarious. Couple of later seasons mix it up with CGI, though it's just reverted back to all in game graphics because the animators have switched to their own show (Still produced by Rooster Teeth) called RWBY (pronounced ruby) that's basically an anime.

Don't worry too much about it being based on Halo, it goes out of it's way to avoid references so to not confuse a non-games playing audience. The only thing from Halo you really need to know is humanity fought a war against some aliens. Each season is basically the length of a movie I think.

Didn't Smallville run for over 10 years?

10 seasons. 9 and a half years.

But it seemed twice as long.

A very masochistic journey.

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil.

Two teenage boys are told that only they can save the world.

They say no thank you and wander off to get stoned, until one of them "Todd" figures out that joining this Scooby Gang is a good way to seduce the hot goth girl in the short skirt whining on about how Satanists kidnapped her father.

Every episode is about a magic book of pure evil fulfilling wishes that go horribly wrong and inevitably lead to the wishers self-destruction.

In one, the wisher ends up with a 15 foot long penis with a French accent which turns people to stone who look it in the Urethra.

...

Sleepy Hallow is shit.

...

The Tomorrow People is dull, drab, beige and shit.

...

Saving Hope. Daniel Jackson from Stargate loves Lois from Smallville. They're Doctors, there's a car accident, and he's coma boy, but he also has a sectoral avatar wandering the hospital helping other dispossessed souls as the medical drama unfolds on the more solid plane. Greys Anatomy meets Ghost Whisperer.

...

Saving Grace. Holly Hunter plays a hard drinking, smoking, sleeping around, foul mouthed police officer, who meets a down to earth home spun folksy Angel who suggests that she turn her life around. For that advice she knocks him on his ass.

They have a difficult relationship.

...

Lost Girl. It's just like Buffy but with a bisexual private detective who eats sexual energy. Lots of kung fu and love triangles. A little edgy, a lot low budget, but they lucked out on having a strong cast.

...

Being Erica. Neurotic female semi professional gets a new therapist to sort out her life struggles. The therapist is a time traveller and they solve all her internal struggles by travelling back in time to explore her regrets and cock ups.

If you want just 17 episodes that will leave you wondering about what it all meant for the rest of your life, watch The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan.

How much did you hate the remake?

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

Didn't see it, had no desire to. I think I saw an issue of a comic adaptation of the remake once and didn't care for it. Never been a fan of remakes of any kind.

The original Prisoner only requires watching "Arrival" first, then "Once Upon a Time" and "Fall Out" last. The rest can pretty much be jumbled in any order. "Fall Out" is probably my favorite judging from how many times I've watched it, since it raises even more questions about WTF is going on. This is a series I first saw in 1967 or thereabouts, and it still baffles me. It's a wonderful brain game.

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

This...

"As far as the final episode of The Prisoner went, the Producer was faced with a difficult question of good vs. evil which would shape the tone of the show forever, and fortunately, he landed on the right side of history by not using the Monkees on the soundtrack for the final minutes of the last episode."

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

Wow, you people are all very nice giving me these suggestions. THANK YOU

The Guild: seen a bunch of this, out of order, might make this my next comedy. Gotten back into MMO's so that will add to the fun.

Once Upon a Time: You know who ships this? ADMIRAL HAWTHORN. Admiral Hawthorn converted me to J/7. Her tumblr is full of it and if Admiral Hawthorn likes it then it must be full of goodness. Of course that didn't propel me into Rizzoli and Isles which her tumblr is also full of but I have very little tolerance for cop shows.

Tru Calling: Heard mixed things, not a Dushku fan but don't dislike her, only two seasons, might check it out.

Smallville: HAHAHAHAHA.. oh sorry. Well I did watch several early seasons one thousand years ago when I still watched television and I've never felt the urge to return though a friend of mine said the later seasons were better. But that's what.. 500 episodes?!

Angel: I'm saving this for my massive Whedon rewatch refresh rewhedon phase which is coming up at some point. In the future.

Continuum: Saw it, loved it. That's the kind of show where there is something that makes the shadowy corporate evil perfectly fine, TIME TRAVEL my favorite ever plot. Orphan Black was even better IMO, also was so much more that fighting conspiracies. If you liked Continuum you should check out Orphan Black, one season and renewed for a second.

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil: This looks excellent. I think I might do this and Once Upon a Time (I'm a little nervous about the latter).

Arrow: My problem is I find fighting crime very dull.

Saving Hope: This sounds godawful. But again, over medical dramas and also over helping people, is this like that piece of crap Michael?!

Lost Girl: I had forgotten about that. I will shortlist it.

The Prisoner: I spent my whole childhood watching this

Also I have never seen The Dresden Files. Is it worth watching?

Well, when it first aired in the States, The Prisoner was on CBS. The Monkees was on NBC. Unlikely CBS would have promoted another network's product.

And the Beatles were fans of The Prisoner when it first aired in UK. Don't know if it was their suggestion or someone else's to include "All You Need Is Love", but they agreed to it nonetheless, which was unusual for any television to use a current song as part of its soundtrack at the time. Though I think the script originally indicated a traditional tune, like "Pop Goes the Weasel" or something.

Basement level gumshoe battle mage.

Monster of the week.

Fun, but nothing to write home about.

Small enough to eat over a weekend.

"Dresden" is now a supporting character in Arrow.

Arrow isn't about crime fighting.

It's about revenge.

The Arrow Guy has a list and he's killing people on it to avenge his father.

Voyager's Borg Queen plays his mommy.

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

OOOooooooo....well. Borg Queen.

Last time I needed new stuff I acquired a whole lot of pilots and first few eps of varying series and watched them all and some I abandoned (Falling Skies) and some I got addicted to. So I think I will do that with a few of these.

Also, sob, why can't we have Blood and Chrome why why why

Re: Voyager again, for the first time

Falling Skies is awful.

Badly written cheap manipulative theatrics for the weak minded.

It's shit, with a great SFX budget.

Blood and Chrome the movie was enough for me.

If they kept going it just would have cocked up.
