I saw on Facebook that the Okudas provided the images on the screens behind him. Also that this is his uniform from Generations.

Damn but he's fat in that uniform.
The man will be 82 years old in March 2013. Assuming you make it to that age, who knows who good you'll look (hell, who knows if you'll be ambulatory?)

It was a decent bit.

I'm not so sure. It looks really cheap in comparison to the one he wore in Generations.

Good cinematography can make a lot of "cheap things" look really good onscreen. Clearly that degree of effort was not put into last night's skit.

Any chance this is not the last appearence of James T Kirk?
I take it you're not aware of the new movie coming out this year?

Or were you referring to Shatner's Kirk?

Yep - Kirk's alive and well, and much younger than he was.

It was wonderful to see James T. Kirk back in the saddle.

I don't see anyone asking "hey, where's Chris Pine?" btw.

I don't know about you but I plan to see him in action again in May.

Or maybe it was actually the evil Kirk from the Mirror Universe . . . .
Or an older version of NuKirk who didn't get a bridge dropped on him.

Actually the Monster Maroons all looked really cheap in Generations.
Still, I should think they had to let it out a bit.

For an octagenarian, he looks pretty good in uniform.
I was going to say, I know he's probably held together by Sona science...but he actually looks good enough there to be realistic guest star Admiral.
