On a brighter side, at least we now know that I over reacted in thinking that the ARC and all those stories which were so-so turned out to still have happened.

Re: Is Primeval New World worth watching?

If John Connor destroyed the T-80's CPU in Terminator II, no one could have built Skynet.

Connor (Temple) thought the guns would be safe with Evan because Evan invented the guns, just like he invented photonic technology... By raping th e future. Take away photonics and the ARC would be using tech bought from radio shack, which would have changed everything.

Dominoes.

You do realize that there are people out there who are allergic to eggs, and can't eat them, right? People who aren't "pussies and hippies".

Re: Is Primeval New World worth watching?

Everyone CAN eat eggs.

Some people just "shouldn't".

Allergy equals pussy.

That's not me being insensitive.

These pussies should be damn angry that their bodies are idiots.

If I was allergic to chocolate or beer, I would look in the mirror every morning while I'm brushing my hair and say "How dare you betray me, you timid, callow, good for nothing pussy!"

Then I'd slap myself around a little until my body changed it's mind and stopped being such a pussy.

Besides that's why god invented EpiPens, so that pussies can briefly enjoy the finer things in life before their respiratory systems pussy out.

That was ... epic. And strangely homo-erotic.

Tell us again how you'd slap yourself around. Slowly.

I'm currently digging this new incarnation of Primeval.

I'd like to see what happens when/if the ARC ever hooks up with Canadian Project Magnet in the same time stream.

Bummer, it sounds like it ended up being pretty good in the long run.

I've got my tapes from my Canadian friend for the first 9 episodes, and the last 4 was mailed to me yesterday, so, I will be starting to watch and burn to DVD tonight.

I hope they work something out with other investors, Dinosaur shows are not common, and certainly not ones that last beyond a single season

Re: Is Primeval New World worth watching?

Mailing vhs tapes?

For Christmas you need to buy your friend a DVDR, which will save them on postage and you on converting low res vhs into barely watchable rips.

Besides it's the least you can do.

Isn't it more illegal to be mailing vhs tapes than it is to download from the internet?

That's pirated material physically crossing state lines and international borders.

Multiple felonies, and then you have to deal with Interpol.

I don't really think it's pirating, since the show is on free TV

Re: Is Primeval New World worth watching?

There are German 12 year olds in prison for downloading episodes of South Park.

(Okay, it happened once, and he's not 12 anymore.)

All copyrighted material is legally controlled material.

What if every ad worked?

If every advert you saw in the station breaks during your favourite show compelled you to purchase that product?

Every car, ever cellphone and every hamburger.

Watching tv without advertising is a complete theft, because you are depriving your self of the opportunity to be brainwashed poorly into wasting your money on shitty products you don't need. You have an implied contract with your local station to give their brainwashing a chance and if you're turning the volume off or fast forwarding with your dvdr through the advertising that's simply poor sportsmanship.

I doubt anyone in authourity cares, but snailmailing vhstapes is still piracy.

Speaking of laws no one cares about...

Although not enforced, legally the government where I live can enter my house and magnetically erase any (nonprerecordedstorbought) video tapes that they suspect which I may have watched more than once. Video tapes are only permissible for '"timeshifting" once. Subsequent views are piracy and criminal.

Re: Is Primeval New World worth watching?

So, I watched up to Episode 5 yesterday and I'm enjoying the show. I'm really liking the characters alot, they have good chemistry together, and they did a good job making me like the team members that leave the team, so, that their loss meant something to me. Evan running and crying to Miss Finch at the end of Episode 5, was powerful, IMHO.
