January 2013 Challenge Voting Thread

We had two great entries this month!

The theme was Ethnicity and Culture, and our two entrants put together some very different (and highly entertaining) stories. I hope that, whoever you vote for, that you review both stories. Feedback is always appreciated.

Re: January 2013 Challenge Voting Thread

Thanks!

I wonder, though, how meaningful those contests are nowadays with so few contestants and so few voters and commentators. When this contest was created the basic idea was to hone writing skills and get some feedback.

Also, since February is so short and were are already a week into it, I was wondering whether the next contest should run until the end of March. It would give people more time to enter. What do you think?
