Who in the Trekverse do you think the PTB should have had getting together at some point during a series?

I'll throw some out to get the ball rolling:
Jake Sisko and Tora Ziyal
Tom Paris and Kes

Malcolm Reed and Major Hayes in Enterprise. They seemed to be building up to something there, and it went nowhere, which made quite a lot of scenes pointless in retrospect. It was a disappointment.

Yeah, I kind of expected their friction to end differently. I suspect TPTB wimped out again.

Jake and Mardah in DS9 (don't know why TPTB broke that up)
Torres and Kim in VOY

Chakotay and Torres-they were a better fit than Paris and Torres, they had history together and I never understood what Torres saw in Paris.

No, Tom had to be ultimately paired off with someone with a stronger personality than Kes. After a while Tom would have started treating Kes like some bar pickup and eventually simply walked away from her.

I could see Kes and Harry, they seem to have the same mannor about them.

Archer and T'Pol should have been a couple, which sort of happened with Twilight, but we really don't know how intimate the relationship was.

T'Pol could have been screwing his brains out for 12 years and he'd never remember it.

Paris and Rain Robinson. I still think Paris had more chemistry with Rain than he ever did with B'Elanna, and think how much more fun Voyager would have been with Sarah Silverman aboard!

100% agreed. The Torres-Paris coupling never felt "right" to me. Chakotay and Torres would likely have worked better.

That's a good one too. T'Pol with Archer made more sense to me than her with Trip.
