USS Republic - Deep Mission Cruiser

Something I've just been kicking around:
A late TOS era Heavy "Deep Mission" Cruiser. Equipped with experimental technology including refracting cloak device, redundant shielding, and dual matrix warp core.

Would love to see what this one would look like in 3D.

This suggests an alternative possibility to the TMP refit, carrying more of the TOS style forward.

That is what a saucer should be--circular, very wide, flat, and multi-layered.

Yeah, it'll be "The Great Duck of the Galaxy"...

Thanks for the kind words gang!
And if anyone wants to 3D model the ship, that would be great!

NIce job. The neck and hull look quite JJ-verse is that intentional?

Well, the secondary hull was based on a motorcycle tank I was trying to design, then I turned it upside-down and added the neck and nacelles and went from there... the neck, in my mind, is inspired by a mixture of the Galaxy Class Enterprise and the movie TMP refit Enterprise giving it a bit of lineage to future Starfleet designs, trying to make this ship look advanced in the TOS era.

Yes, another lineage detail to the deco inspired refitted movie Enterprise. Cheers !
