I'm going to a con tomorrow, I will not be surrounded by water and I can leave any time I like

Also just want to say of all the now many Trek guests I've seen I'd put Garret up there as one of the best. Funny, down to earth, genuine. I got to talk to him during the break at the smoko table (I gladly sacrificed some lung space for Star Trek) and he was quite lovely. He was having a huge discussion about alien life with some other true believers (he's into conspiracy theories). Anyway I'd happily see him again and I can't say that about everyone.

I saw Garret, John de Lancie, and Armin Shimerman at my last con in '95 (though some might say that's an antiquated memory), and Armin was great, even in a large hall. Someone asked where he was from, and in his inimitable voice, answered "Joisey! Can't ya tell?"

John dL. seemed a bit uncomfortable with Q-specific questions, but was more receptive to questions on his career. The worst moment came when:

Fan: Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior?
deLancie: (pause) Next question?

Sadly, I don't remember much from Garret as the show hadn't been on long (local tv promos mispronounced his name), so I might have been checking the dealers room.

The founder was born in China, but as an American citizen 30 years later in the 1950s founded Wang Computers, by the 80s his kids, who were most likely born in America, would have been running the show.

As Christopher said, I wasn't lusting after Molly or Naomi the characters. I'm just saying that Hana hatae has grown into a very attractive young woman, as has Scarlett.
