Parker (2013)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnN_NgFIBOw As a bit fan of the books I'm not keen on the idea that Parker is someone who 'lives by a code of honor that includes never stealing money from people who need it' but I'll take what I can get**... * (where the character is actually called Parker rather Walker Porter, Stone, McClain or Macklin). ** Jason's Texas accent is em.. unique.. Re: Parker (2013)
JLo was the weakest link, but not because of her acting (she's actually a pretty good actress, as Selina and Out of Sight demonstrated). Her character was written in a way that her motivations came off as forced simply to move the plot along. I have to admit, however, while Statham was okay, I sort of wished they'd reversed the roles and Michael Chiklis had played Parker instead of the antagonist. A "Vic Mackey" style Parker would have been great. |
