Conventions in the UK

Are there any plans for another Star trek convention in the UK this year?

Gutted that I missed the London Excel.

Was that the Destination Star Trek London?

If so that was more of an event rather than a convention.

No, The SF Ball has absolutely nothing to with DSTL. It's probably the only remaining "con" in the UK considering the most common understanding of the word reference Star Trek. I've been a couple of times, and on the whole, enjoyed myself a lot.

Its almost certain there will be another Destination event. A lot of the fans on the organisers forum seem to think it HAS to take place in the UK again, but its only fair other places in Europe get a chance.

Still they might bow to fan pressure.

I'm probably going to Germany for the Star Wars Celebration Europe II there in the summer. If I can afford to spare the cash from 30+ 50th anniversary Dr Who events.

The DL organisers obviously can see demand to meet the actors is there, the London Film and Comic Con has 7 (so far) for DS9's 20th Anniversary
