One story is that, that advanced tech came from the Borg. But, yea, they probably would be interested in what direction Starfleet's free will ingenuity might do with it added onto their own existing tech.

I would be very interested in seeing how first contact with Bajor could go. We have absolutely no idea when this happened, so JJ can pretty much do what he wants with it.

Part of the problem IMO with all of the non-corporal beings depicted in Trek who live above the plane of our existence is they would be able to see the massive changes in the timeline and I'd think both the Q and the wormhole aliens would be concerned this whole change would fuck up their plans for humans in the future.

It's an alternate reality. The one Q and the Prophets play with is still there for them to have fun with.

Yea, but for the worm hole aliens at least Ben Sisko was 'the one,' [to use a Matrix metaphor] and there would be no guarantees 100 years later the Borg would invade - his wife would die - he would end up on the station - blah, blah, blah.

Again that doesn't make sense. Because if that's true, they would have already known that the Pah Wraiths would be defeated that Sisko would do so .. so why the elaborate ruse?

Again, any being that lives outside of linear time and who can manipulate it knows - what was - what is - but more importantly what will come under every scenario.

So why wouldn't they intercede when the Romulans break the existing timeline?

It's just my NSHO, but I think they are aware of an infinite number of timelines and are not focused exclusively on the timeline we call the prime universe.
