Which "job" on DS9 would you most like to have?

Just kidding! I'd probably open up a Greek restaurant. There's only so much hasperat and gagh the station residents could eat before they'd long for a little variety.

As automatic as a main character made the "you are clear for docking" I pretty much always assumed computers handled that and all the character was doing was plugging in info for a new ship and the computer gives it a docking heading and course which is clear of other ships and what not.

Doubt it. While the E-D boasted about self-cleaning technology, we never actually see it. Besides Quark makes Rom and Nog clean up messes as punishment at his bar. So if there are self-cleaning systems, Quark is too cheap to pony out for one.

This is a very good question. If I was to do a civilian job, I think I'd like to run a shuttle service between the station and Bajor. There always seemed to be a lot of traffic between those locations - both people and trade goods.

Only cause I'm a software engineer in real life, I'd love to be the guy who has to interface the Federation systems with Cardassian systems.

That job'd be hell for most, paradise for me.

Except for the booby traps, those'd kinda suck.

I'd probably be an anthropologist or historian for Bajor and neighboring star systems,
a journalist, with a news service located on DS9, or work in some sort of diplomatic function for the Federation.

Hmm... Possibly. But I'd probably end up getting fired for punching Quark in the face for one reason or another. Don't get me wrong; I like Quark. But I sure wouldn't want to work for him.
