Re: whats your rank of TOS and TNG films?
Star Trek: The Motion Picture Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Cutlery Star Trek III: The Search for Spock Star Trek VIII: First Contact Star Trek IX: Insurrection Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Star Trek V: The Final Frontier Star Trek VII: Generations Star Trek X: Nemesis Star Trek 2009 is a bit of an odd beast for me, and I'm glad this list only ranks TOS and TNG. I liked the casting, acting, and special effects, found the music disappointing but adequate, and didn't like the writing and art direction. Still, it was a fun film -- more so than any other, so if pressed, I'd wedge it in above ... er ... Search for Spock. Maybe even above Undiscovered Cutlery.

Re: whats your rank of TOS and TNG films?
1. First Contact (a slight edge over number 2) 2. Wrath of Khan 3. TMP 4.TSFS 5. TVH 6. Generations 7. Undiscovered Country 8. Insurrection 9. Nemesis 10. TFF Stark trek 11, still kind of the fence about the Star Wars plot. As a side none of the movies are entirely unwatchable (kind of like Bond), but the last two get viewed the least.

Re: whats your rank of TOS and TNG films?
The Motion Picture The Voyage Home First Contact The Undiscovered Country Insurrection The Search for Spock Generations Nemesis The Final Frontier I should point out that I don't actually dislike any of these movies, but in any list, something has to come in last. I can't really rank ST 09 in with the rest. I did enjoy it for the most part even with the poor writing and the gaping plot holes, but I just tend to think of it as a completely new franchise from all that's come before. Perhaps Into Darkness will change my mind... perhaps not. |

Re: whats your rank of TOS and TNG films?
The way I see it, they're both "true" STAR TREK films in the same way that "The Changeling" and "The Trouble with Tribbles" are both Trek. (To be fair, I actually rewatched TMP the other day, for first time in ages, and it held up better than I remembered. But then I watched TVH and TUC again and, yeah, they're both much more engaging.)
