Excluding the big'ns like the Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Borg, Dominion major powers, Andorians, etc, who are some of your favorites and why??

But given nothing about her background was ever revealed "on camera", Lt. M'Ress could be a felinoid alien, a gynoid, a cat genetically "uplifted" to sapience, or just a human really into severely radical body modifications. Actually, we can at least assume she is a biological lifeform since Harry Mudd's "love crystals" had an effect upon her similar to the conditions it triggered in humans.

Yes, Peter David's "Gateway" novels went into some detail, but if one ONLY referred to screen time material, the field is WIDE open to interpretation. But I'll admit I'm rather pedestrian. I agree she's a felinoid alien as most material states.

TOS-style Andorians. Yes, the Andorians were expanded on in Enterprise, but in TOS they would count as "lesser-seen aliens." And I like the way they looked in TOS.

A fan after my own heart. Back when Andorian antennae were their "ears".

(I've had this comical image in mind of an "old school" Andorian using an human stethoscope by plugging the "ear buds" into his antennae.)

I'd consider the Andorians lesser seen. We've never had a regular Andorian character, and we haven't seen any Andorians in 24th century trek.

I liked the idea of the Aenar from ENT. So serene.

And the looks of the (smooth-forehead) Boslic was quite interesting.

Alan Dean Foster expanded M'ress a bit in his adaptations of TAS episodes.

The Bolians would have been interesting to to see some more of, perhaps in Enterprise's "fifth season."

Thanks; I meant to post that as well, but I got distracted while composing and forgot. I'm not sure if his material influenced the Lincoln Enterprises "bio", or if he used the "bio" to frame his background "anecdotes".

But the base theory still holds. From "on screen" evidence alone, M'Ress could be, in theory, any number of things.
