^ As his site seems to be down at the moment and I had a chance to read it before it went down:

He suffered a stroke while on vacation in Florida. He has no feeling in his right leg and arm and problems with his sight.

Sad news. I just read the first 4 New Frontier novels for the first time and loved them, hes clearly a great writer. I hope he makes a full and quick recovery.

Aww hell.

Sounds like they caught it fast. If they get the clot breaking drugs in him fast he could recover with minimal damage.
