Happy Winter Solstice!

In the midst of all this crazy Apocalypse talk, I feel like a more important event has been forgotten about. The Winter Solstice!

Happy Shortest Day of the Year!
Things only get brighter from here!

Happy Summer Solstice to those in Australia and New Zealand. Lovely sunny day in Hobart with a 25C maximum predicted.

Happy Winter Solstice!

I am now going to celebrate by turning on every light in house and then watching my husband have a fit.

Mmm. I'm not really noticing it being darker longer down here. Interesting. It was obvious in DC and Cincinnati, and especially New England. But no, not down here in the Bayou.
