Costume making
I'm looking to get a custom Trek uniform made, and I'm wondering which parts you all think I would need. This is the full uniform, undershirt I'm looking to get made. Which patterns do I need to get? I think I would need: TOS Movie Jacket, First Contact undershirt, and the TNG Male Two-Piece. That should suffice, right? Basically the uniform is intended to be the TOS Movie Jacket with the TNG styling (black shoulder bar, side-black, and waist black), an undershirt with the TNG rounded collar and a zip-up front, and TNG pants with the department color piping on them. For the accessories, I have the pips and communicator badge from the Star Trek Exhibition in Orlando, but I need a belt and a buckle that's just an arrowhead. If this costume can be pulled of relatively easily, I might try to get a dress uniform version done sometime afterwards. Which materials should I use for the pants, jacket, and shirt? Thanks in advance for your suggestions. |
