I Khan't stand all these Khan puns!

The way he describes his character makes me even more anticipatory of the movie. Hopefully this villain will have a little more depth than the last one. I don't really care who he actually is. I'd prefer a completely new character but I'm fine with Khan, Mitchell, or anyone really.

Their headline does not appear to match anything he actually said.

Could someone point me to the part where he says "I am not playing Khan."?

This whole John Harison thing is a big Red Herring, so they could give him a name to use until we find out who he actually is when the movie comes out!

It doesn't matter what people think of Montalban's performance; the part can and will be recast if it hasn't already been.

The argument is, after all, no more valid than claims that only Leonard Nimoy could play Spock.

I don't think it's a particularly difficult role to recast, certainly easier than Spock.

Marion Cotillard said she was playing a character named Miranda Tate in The Dark Knight Rises and denied that she was playing someone else. Turns out she played Miranda Tate for most of the movie until they revealed her character's real name. Just because he denies it doesn't make it so. Or it does make it so. Either way it'll be awhile before we know the truth.

Re: Benedict Cumberbatch To Access Hollywood: "I Am Not Playing Khan..

The more the producers and actors do these non-denial denials the more I get convinced he is playing Khan. Watching the trailer I got Khan vibes all the way (the augment level abilities, the references to him returning and having Vengeance, etc).

Now all these hints (and Harrison being name of a character from "Space Seed" & the Japanese trailer scene) could be red herrings, or maybe not. And Khan is the only Trek villain that would get the attention of mainstream audiences (other than the Borg).

I was one of those who didn't want Khan in the movie but now I am OK either way. As long as the movie is good it doesn't matter.
