Could anyone tell from the recently released trailer if the "re-imagined" NCC-1701 have blue warp nacells as the Enterprise NX-01 and C through E have?
Meh. It's not like the rabid fanbase cares about such things as the color of the nacelles in TOS versus Abramstrek.

They turn blue when underwater. When underwater, the crew attach the special breathing apparatus to their sombreros.

Oh I took the idea from somewhere all right, but it wasn't from your post.

Well, yeah. I was around here pre-ST09, hence my "feigned repulsion" for blue nacelles on that image
(an image that "MadMan" did a great job of creating, by the way).

The new sombrero better have a blue pulsating stripe running along the edge of the brim or I'm mailing a box of dog poo to J.J. Abrams.

Certain transgressions cannot and should not be tolerated.

The real question is how Spock's nacelle compares to Benedict's Cumber Batch.

Re: Blue Warp Nacelles?

Far be it from me to introduce some logic into this topic, but I always thought the nacelles glowed orange in space because of the heat generated as the charged particles of outer space passed through them.

Perhaps when they function underwater, they change modes and the nacelles are not heated to the same temperature, causing the bluish color????
