The white reminds me most of the oldschool TARDIS, e.g., Fourth Doctor, etc. I'm not seeing 10th Doctor at all.

Yea, that's what I was thinking it harkens back to the White Roundel Classic Console roms

Inasmuch as the time column itself has a series of lit tubes that presumably move around; that's where it comes from. The upper level in the background, with the railing reminds me of the metal scaffolding in the 9/10 room. OTOH, the upper level seems to have a door or opening that is reminiscent of the upper level on the 11.1.

As a TARDIS control room follower, I'm quite excited to see the new one. However, I'm sure the episode itself should be good too, of course. :P

This is wonderful! Except for the warm tones, I never really cared for the junkyard look of 11's TARDIS interior. I was particularly annoyed by that hand-blown glass bobble in the time-rotor column. It always looked a bit dusty and like a ... hand-blown glass bobble.

I can't wait to see the rest of this new design ... it looks quite good so far, if a bit cold.

I hate it. One of the best things that happened to the 9/10 and then 11 control rooms was the organic and otherworldly feel. This feels stark, boring and generic.

I think it just needs context. I was quite hesitant about the 11.1 room with its spongy Willy Wonka style, but grew to love it really fast. Bring on 11.2!

I really liked the 11th's control room and wish they hadn't changed it so soon, but oh well. I hope it isn't as bad as leopard print desktop theme.

I think it looks great. I'd love to see a downplaying of the steampunk stuff which I have never been enamored with.

Only real problem I had with 11.1 was the walls. The random shapes just made the room too confusing.

I personally haven't heard, but, I'm assuming it's Christmas, since we're hearing about it now (And the trailers seem to have been careful not to show the inside of the TARDIS, there's even a piece with someone looking around the door being held almost closed like it's towel after a shower, I believe)
