My Shipyard
I'll kick the thread off with some Enterprises! Now mind you, most, if not all, of the lines of these two ships were laid down by the excellent artist Captain Shade over at Deviant Art. What I've done to them is increased their overall level of visual details, and changed some of the colors around a bit. And before anyone asks, yes, this is in M.S. Paint :P ![]()

Re: My Shipyard
So now for some designs I created my self. I'm not extremely proud of this first one, but it's the first ship I ever designed, so it has a special place in my heart: ![]() It's the "Apollo" Class Fleet Carrier, designed to provide fast repair and maintenance service to a fleet and its small craft. It primarily carries supplies, as well as a small flotilla of support craft. The saucer and lower hull can separate from the aft and top hulls if necessary as well. Next up is a ship that is on practically the exact opposite end of the rediculousness scale: The USS Sirocco: ![]() This design arose from seeing the cutter USS Frobisher, and seeing just how far I could push the design's size, resulting in basically a crew cabin sitting on top of a nacelle. I worked out that the ship would probably have a crew of anywhere from twenty to just ten. |

Re: My Shipyard
But now that I've found this topic again, how about some more ships! This first one I call the "Iron Dragon" and I imagine it as a predecessor to the Defiant-Class niche of a small(ish), fast attack escort. ![]() This next one is one of my favorites, because it seems like one of the most likely to be a "real" ship. I call it the USS McChord Light Battle-Cruiser.

Re: My Shipyard
actually the newest two are quite cool, and the little prism shaped nacelle things an interesting idea, but that crazy ubership that requires horizontal scrolling is just silly.

Re: My Shipyard
http://www.shipschematics.net/startr...ser_balson.jpg But I would like to see that secondary hull with standard refit nacelles and a wider saucer that terminates just to the aft of the lengthened saucer support pylon. I'd just like to see her with raised nacelles. You might try that--as the secondary hull is just a bit longer. |
