With today being Steven Culp's birthday and all (he's 57), let's give it up for the guy with the best fight scene in Trek!

Hayes

- this character was very by the book, but not above getting down and dirty. And of course he saves Hoshi Sato but

let's face it, he's a redshirt; we all know the drill.

Madden

- this character, Martin Madden, can only be seen in the deleted scenes from the Nemesis film, where he comes in, in order to replace Riker. Riker plays a prank on him, which I always thought was

kinda nasty.

Culp has been in all sorts of stuff; he played Bobby Kennedy twice. Directors must love to kill him off as he always seems to be playing death scenes, in Desperate Housewives and JAG, in particular.

However, he recently got busy quite a bit on Grey's Anatomy.

Let's have this topic duke it out with the Keating one, eh?

Been watching The West Wing first time and he does a nice charming-but-sleazy Republican House Speaker.

Yes, we all knew the ultimate fate of Major Deadma-- I mean Hayes. I just wish they took SOME effort that we didn't see it coming from a mile away. I didn't realize he was Commander Nobody from that brief scene in Nemesis. And yes, I heartily agree... William T. Riker is a jerk of the first order.

So this means that before Hayes died he had been quite a long time without blueberries. That is sad.

Part of me always wishes that the fight scene between Hayes and Reed ended up with them making out, let's face it the sexual tension between the two of them was probably the best in the series!

Also, though a deleted scene and not considered canon, I have it in my head that Martin Madden became XO of the E-E following Riker's departure.

And how good does he look for 57!
