Re: What is this food called?
Oh, and the idea of dry seaweed I can see on the top is good too. I don't recall seeing it in a Korean restaurant in my bibimbap, but I can try it when I prepare mine the next time ![]() Did Janeway like the bibimbap?

Also, the tofu thing was a dead giveaway. No highly advanced lfe form would eat that stuff. The one true God forbade the consumption of shellfish, crustaceans, and other sea life that can't be fried and served like catfish with hushpuppies and cole slaw, and his reign shall last until the end of time, or until the tartar sauce runs out, whichever comes first. |

Re: What is this food called?
That's one of my favorite sushi-type items. The wrapper is like deep-fried tofu that's *somehow* formed into a thin pocket or pouch...and it's soaked in like some sweet..something (mirin...?) and stuffed with sticky rice with maybe some sesamie seeds and sometimes other stuff (like the seaweed salad I guess.) I don't know very many people other than me who like this dish..

Re: What is this food called?
I've had good kimchi at restaurants, but the stuff I've gotten in a jar from the Asian grocery stores basically tastes like sauerkraut mixed with siracha. |
