Re: Spartacus War of the Damned Season 3/"last".

When did they manage to dig that ditch with the pungee sticks!?!?

The white-flag meeting before the battle was a bit unbelievable.

Other than that, a satisfying ending with plenty of action.

Historically, according to my Osprey history, Spartacus did manage to hack his way ALMOST to Crassus before a legionary took him down within sight of the general. Though Crassus the Ultimate Ninja Warrior is probably a creation of the show.

Gonna watch the 1960 movie tonight.

They killed off Spartacus? What kind of shit is this, do the writers just hate the fans? They killed everyone off, this is worse than the ending to Sopranos and Seinfeld.

I kid, I kid...

Save Your Wife

Destroy Rome

Save Your People

Die A Free Man

It just goes to show that victory can always be achieved as long as one willing to constantly change the conditions.

Epic end to an epic show.

Brilliant ending to one of the truly great series just a pity it will never really get any recognition.

Steven DKnight's post finale interview... and a little about his next project, "incursion".

I think my favorite part was Gannicus' imagining being in the arena at the end. I loved the visual and you couldn't help but feel a little relief for the guy at that point.

The biggest surprise of the finale for me was who ended up being crucified beside Gannicus.

Fantastic ending to a great show. The end credits were especially touching, showing the full cast during the course of the series, including the original Spartacus actor. I'm going to miss it. I'm going to give the new Caesar spinoff show a shot, but I somehow don't think it's going to be as good.

Wait, there is now a Caesar spinoff show coming? Thought that was just rumor?

See the DeNight interview posted above, there's nothing firm about the spinoff.

they could do one on Ceaser's adventure in Gaul. that lasted about 10 years I believe and the Gauls had many a hero fighting against Rome

There was really nothing I liked about the Caesar of this show, so... nah.

If anything, MAYBE I'd watch a story about the 5 years Gannicus was gone from the Ludus but no way would I watch anything where this Caesar or Crassus were the central characters.
