Good idea for a thread, Kes.

Give someone, anyone, a smile. You have no idea how such a simple thing can mean to people. It may even make someone's day. In some way, it can even be a stress relief to the person giving the smile. Smiles are a wonderful thing.
(That one is a smile for you.)

Kestra does not condone arson. Any arson on the part of the poster is not the responsibility or fault of this thread.
Well you know what they say... build a man a fire, you keep him warm for a day; light a man on fire, he's warm for the rest of his life.

That is how the saying goes, right?

I'm going to pull my advice from Shore Leave:

So, remember to play!

Sure beats the "Wahhhh....some girl doesn't like me"-type threads.
She does like me; that was never in dispute. The issue was... hmm, maybe you're talking about different threads? I forget sometimes that not everything is all about me all the time.

Don't worry about things so much. It will drive you crazy.
Oh, you were talking about my thread. Dammit T'Bonz! Don't I antagonize you enough as it is?

Actually, I don't really antagonize you at all, I just threaten to start from time to time and never follow through. Well, this time... never mind, I'm lazy. Carry on.

Lots of good stuff here, especially the bit about forgiveness. There are few more powerful and empowering feelings in existence.

My recommendation? We don't have anything or anyone for very long, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Re: One Recommendation

I'm going to sneak one in from the Dalai Lama. Not mine, of course, I already made my post. But I don't think his Holiness has an account here.

So on his behalf:
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Re: One Recommendation

Also to stop people from being too self-important and only listening to themselves, everyone needs to try out one thing from the thread so far. Obviously I can't make anyone do anything, but why not try to incorporate something new into your life?

Loving this thread. Thanks, Kestra.

Some wise words from my mother: "Nobody's too good to scrub a toilet." Humility helps to keep your head level and feet on the ground, and that can only be a good thing.
