A friend of mine appeared in an Asylum movie (as Adolph Hitler's head). He seemed to have had a good time.

I recommend you try Sherlock Holmes next. Holmes fights giant robots in a steampunk hot air balloon. I quite enjoyed it.

That's the one. That's actually Jim Young, an acclaimed sf writer, playing Robot Hitler.

Alas, Jim died not long after, but I know he enjoyed working on the movie. How often do you get a chance to play Robot Hitler?
