When she was a kid, Morgan Webb began making commercials for Gerber baby food, McDonald’s and Kenner Toys. She was an avid fan of video games because her parents didn’t allow her to watch television when she was a child, and among her favorites were Combat, The Legend of Zelda and Phantasy Star. Webb graduated from UC Barkley in 200 with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and minor in Italian. Her computer skills and knack for continuous knowledge in computers and technology led her to a stint at the TechTV show The Screen Savers as an associate producer and web researcher. Webb also hosted the show in some occasions, and her hosting duties were eventually transferred to hosting X-Play.

X-Play is a television program about video games, known for its reviews and comedy skits. X-Play began on the ZDTV network in 1998 as GameSpot TV, where Adam Sessler co-hosted with Lauren Fielder for the show's first year. The producers of ZDTV originally had plans to air a video game program when the channel launched called Extended Play that would be hosted by Simon Rex. However, when an agreement was reached with the makers of the newly-created GameSpot website, plans for the original show's format were scrapped in favor of a GameSpot-branded program, and Rex was dropped as host. The show assumed the previously rejected Extended Play moniker in 2001 after ZDTV changed to TechTV and the partnership with GameSpot ended. Co-host Kate Botello left in early 2002, and Sessler hosted the show by himself up until April 2003, when Morgan Webb joined the cast and the show was renamed X-Play.

I remember the first time I saw Morgan on The Screen Savers (I think she had platinum blond hair with dark roots at the time). She always struck me as being relatively straight-laced--didn't know she posed for bikini shoots. I'm literally seeing a totally different side of her...
