I for one would love to see those 4 novels to still come out myself. I was so wanting those when I first heard and read in the Star Trek Magazine at the time. Was disappointed we didn't get them plus I have heard the current Academy series books suck, which is why I haven't laid my eyes on them myself.

They are written for a "young adult", fan of paranormal teen romance, "Twilight"-type demographic. How successful they are, we might have to hear from some young adult fans of paranormal teen romances.

I have all four but have only read one so far. It seemed okay, although I questioned some of the attitudes presented. Do we (or "young adults") really want to read about an intoxicated Cadet Gaila wandering the streets of a sleazy prart of San Francisco at night?
