Where's Opaka.....?

I just realized, that in the last three DRGIII novels concerning DS9 (RBoE, PoN, RtD), we never saw Opaka.

I can't help but wonder now if something happened to her during the entire Ascendents situation...

I also wondered why Opaka wasn't in the last 2 ds9 books maybe we'll find out what happened to her in the next Ds9 novel coming out next year.

She appeared in a unpublished David Mack story and died.

Opaka has made it clear that she considers her new spiritual path to lie outside the realm of politics or anything high-profile, so the fact that's she slipped off the radar doesn't necessarily mean something awful's happened to her.

Maybe she's off meditating in a secluded monastery, or helping refugees in the wider Federation?

Opaka was mentioned in Raise the Dawn as still being around. On page 320:

[Kira] considered visiting Opaka, but then hadn't been able to reach the former kai.

I found it mildly strange that she didn't show up at Vaughn's bedside, considering they appeared to be on their way to a relationship in Fragments and Omens.
