Olivia Culpo: Babe of the Week #10 (March 2013)

Olivia Culpo
(2012 Miss Rhode Island USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant winner)
***************** Scout 101's Pick (1 of 3) *****************
Thumbs up= Thumbs down= Thumbs sideways=

Olivia Culpo was brought up in Edgewood (Cranston), Rhode Island, the middle of five children She graduated from St. Mary Academy-Bay View in 2010 with high honors and as a member of the National Honor Society. Culpo began studying cello in the second grade. She participated in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, RI Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, Bay View Orchestra, Rhode Island All-State Orchestra and Boston Youth Symphony, and performs with the Boston Accompanietta.
The first use of the title Miss Universe was as part of International Pageant of Pulchritude which began in 1926. These events, the first international contests, lasted until 1935 when the Great Depression and other events preceding World War II led to their demise. This pageant had no direct relationship with the modern event. The current incarnation was founded in 1952 by California clothing company Pacific Mills. The pageant became part of Kayser-Roth and then Gulf+Western Industries, before being acquired by Donald Trump in 1996. In the early years, the contestants were judged in swimsuit and evening gown only. In later years, the contestants also competed in a preliminary interview round in a one-on-one meeting with each individual judge.

Re: Olivia Culpo: Babe of the Week #10 (March 2013)

Rebranding Babe of the Week into Lady of the Week was a shallow attempt at placating uppity reactionaries to tried and true degrading convention. This has and always will be a low grade peep show for lads too lazy to collect their own low yield celebrity mastubatory aides and nothing is going to change that, except laziness and that we are drowning in superior products everywhere else. Seriously, firebomb playboy mansion if you want to make a point and leave the clustering crusting over virgins in this thread alone to their harmless plotting to treat women like meat.

Or...

Is it just an overstakenily autopilot overthrottle that has this week rolling back the thread header to the classic "Babe of the Week"?

(I like the bio. The bio is a good addition and almost humanizes the meat on display.)

She's very pretty and charming and I've always felt sorry for poor little Rhode Island, so Thumbs Up.

Or, in the scary world of grown ups, it's actually okay to appreciate beauty.

Re: Olivia Culpo: Babe of the Week #10 (March 2013)

I may muddy things up, but my point was... Why is this a "Babe of the Week" Thread, and not a "Lady of the Week" thread, and is there a difference, and if there isn't a difference why the change, and who was consoled by the insubstantial whitewash thinking that it was a metamorphosis which graduated this thread from offensive to tolerable?

I was questioning the language used, not the women objectified.

You didn't get that?

Sure it's probably a typo, but such an oversight only proves how meaningless the rebranding was if it's the thought that counts and the thoughts have not changed in the slightest towards the undertaking of this project.

I'm fine with objectifying celebrities, they signed away their privacy and they're paid quite well to live with their choices... It's the preteen Russian slaves chained up in sodomydungeons who I believe get the real short end of the stick when it comes to questions about feminism.

Pursuing Sexual equality in the first world is somewhat like the Rambo One.

Dude did not know that the war was over.

^ Just for the record "Babe of the week" is here to stay, it wasn't just a typo.

Sweet.

So in what way, to you, was "Lady of the Week" a fail?

Now, musicians are hot. Watching someone create art is sexy.

Was that question for me or someone else?

I personally think it just sounds silly, that's all.

Yay, one of my picks! Hadn't thought about it when I randomly threw in a bracket for the tourney, but it's damned hard trying to find 3 famous women you like that we haven't already had a BOTW thread about! Fortunately, the Miss Universe pageant happened a day or two before I was submitting, so she was fresh on my mind. Plus, a nice little plug for Rhode Island! Her hometown is about 20 minutes from me, although sadly, I've never run into her.

Either way, seemed like a worthy addition, because she's smoking hot. And some of the more casual pics still have a little of that 'girl next door' vibe going. Was going to go all-blondes just to annoy a few of you, but instead, you got a nice mixture: brunette, blonde, and one that seems to bounce around between blonde, redhead, and occasionally brunette.

Lastly, does Olivia have a little bit of a Sarah Shahi thing going on? Not in all the pics, but several (like the freeze frame to start the video) have a strong vibe for her.

Sideways
She has a pretty face but body wise she is bit too skinny already for my tastes.

Guy, I resent the accusation that I can't find my own low yield celebrity mastubatory aides.
