That was GR himself, off-screen in "Charlie X." And a reminder to speak up about Thanksgiving and Star Trek in general, and about TOS' food in particular.

To get things rolling, what goes better with turkey? Saurian brandy or Romulan ale? And what else would you try at a TOS dinner? We saw a lot of odd stuff during "Babel." Or perhaps you'd like some of the raw meat Spock had during "All Our Yesterdays"? Or . . . ?

As for Trek Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for all the new young fans who keep it all the discussions here alive.

Wine goes nicely with turkey, and the kind of wine that we hear about with regularity is blood wine.

So a large pitcher of blood wine inbetween the mash potatoes and the stuffing.

Some people have relatives that would drive them to Romulan Ale or something "green", such as Aldeberan Whisky.

If I REALLY wanted to party, I'd bring a bottle of Saurian Brandy.

For side dishes, colored food cubes. Lots of different-colored food cubes. Just make them taste like yams or cornbread or cranberry sauce.

And they even have a name for it! It's called gristhera. Apparently it's an Andorian invention. Very popular with aliens, which is why it's always being served at diplomatic functions...

Synthetic meatloaf made up to look like turkey? Really? Whatever other havoc he caused, it looks like the crew owe Charlie the only decent Thanksgiving they ever had.

But wait! How about Edith Keeler's stew? Kirk seemed to really like her stew.
