Can't wait! I'm "back reading" some Voyager novels in the mean time.

I pre-ordered on Amazon, so when I wake up Tuesday morning I'll have the new book! I remember the olden days when I actually had to drive to a bookstore to get my books...

I am really quite tempted to read this out of band (i.e. before I catch up to the continuity) because I'm a sucker for Data/Soong/android/techy stuff and given Christopher's sort-of indication of a high-concept slant to the story ... and ties to Immortal Coil sound promising as well ...

I'll just tell y'all right now: Anyone who hasn't read Jeff Lang's TNG novel Immortal Coil should get their hands on a copy ASAP and read it before diving into the Cold Equations trilogy. I do my best to recap the important details from IC in the trilogy, but the entire trilogy is a direct sequel to Immortal Coil.

I know there have been several posters clamouring for a sequel to that one for some time.

As for myself, I'm pleased by any story rich in continuity references, as I'm sure most everyone knows.

Good to know. I'll add Immortal Coil to my (already huge) list. I've been working on a huge "catch up on Treklit" project, so it's going to take me a while, but I promise I'll get to Cold Equations eventually!

Please tell me Rhea McAdams comes back. I loved the character, and was really disappointing she hasn't come back.

I just ordered Immortal Coil to be able to read it before your book.
And, if I may, is it only for this one or are there other books to consider reading before your next books ? (If so it will enable me to read/buy the needed books)

^ Hugh — It'll help if you've read the Destiny trilogy and are generally familiar with the story developments in the Typhon Pact books.
