LAFORGE: I've modified this tricorder to interface with the subspace generator. It should allow me to control the phase discrimination, assuming this is going to work at all. I need everyone within the field. Adjusting synchronic distortion. .001. .002. (images of creatures start to appear) .003. .004.

[Picard and the rest of the away team are in the same cavern only now tinted a hue of blue. Alien forms sit around the cavern seemingly not aware of the away team. From a column in the middle of the room glowing globes of light fly out of it and enter the foreheads of the aliens.]

[The time door opens. Two figures walk from it carrying the snake/cane and a case. They hook the case to column, the energy balls swirl from it into the column.]
