Re: Any old timers still around?

November 2001 was when I signed up, but I never really posted a lot (maybe light to moderately). When I started here, I really didn't know anything about the internet other than it existed...

Why am I thinking Blablover5. I'm pretty sure she had a couple that wasn't of a black lab once in a while when she still posted here. She's from Nebraska where they have those
Blablover posted so often that it took me a really long time before I realized her name stood for "Black Lab Lover." I always just thought it was "Blab Lover." Very fun poster to have around.
I think she's around quite a lot on Facebook and Twitter. And yes, she was great fun here. Very cute dog pictures too.

I remember the bouncing sloth head from a long time back. I just wish I could remember who first posted that and, if it was somebody's avatar, who had it.
ARGH! Now you've got me rackin' my brain too.
The longtime wearer of the disco-lights head-bobbing sloth avatar was mcmac, I'm pretty sure, although Flukie might have had a hand in making it that way - I just don't recall. It seems the animation didn't survive the software change, though.
mcmac, yeah, that's who it was! When I said it was Flukie, it didn't sound quite right.

Anyone who was around when there was a Star Trek series still in-production on television is definitely an oldie.
Oh, definitely.

Strange, I've been here about 7½ years and still a lot of the names dropped in this thread remind me of a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

What? it's not only a Trek-board, is it?

I joined up when Jay Leno still had a lot of dark hair. If that doesn't say Old Fart I don't know what does.

I've been here since May 2001. And I think TrekTonight is from the summer of '02. So happy belated 10th anniversary to that, I guess.

I joined January 2001. I was 14. I didn't post much because I was terrified that my parents would find out about the board.

Just curious, when you got older did to end up coming clean or do they still not know.

Re: Any old timers still around?

I joined in September 2001, but I didn't start paying attention or caring about any of the stuff that went on here, who was who, etc. till 2003/2004, when I started going to meetups.

Out of interest anyone remember the old PC game Star Trek: Conquest Online? Used to adore that game. Such a sad day when they closed the doors.

I joined in 2002. I was MLB for awhile, then Babaganoosh, and a few years ago I changed back to my original name.

I probably don't notice it as much because I don't watch any live TV anymore. I actually finally got around to finishing ENT on Netflix just a few months ago. I had originally stopped watching it during Season 2.
Stopped during Season 2 - so you totally missed "Interregnum"?

March or April of 2000. I remember being bummed that I was 42. That seems long ago and far away and I've long since come to terms with being middle-aged.
