Re: Any old timers still around?

Can't remember what the first thread I started was about. Though I'm not usually one to start threads. Besides it can be hard enough remembering details from yesterday never mind over 12 years ago.

Congrats to all who have anniversaries!

Bonzie, after 13 years on this occasionally rather lunatic board I think you've earned this:

Sakrysta, I remember you being a Mod at Terran when I first joined there

Re: Any old timers still around?

I had a 10 year anniversary in March. Completely forgot about it. It's amazing how when you first get here you care about that kind of thing. Then a few years later it just doesn't seem to matter all that much. Time Flies when you're having fun I guess.

Well, I think you were before my time so the feeling is mutual.

Welcome back, anyway.

It's all a matter of the proper bait, apparently

Welcome back, Logicissary! You were a bit before my time, too (2 years), but that's no reason to not stay a bit and get to know us. You'll see we not-quite-so-ancient-ones are a nice bunch.

If your first visits to the Trek BBS were on a dial-up connection and there had been only one Star Wars prequel in existence when you joined up?

You're an old timer.

^ Is this a running joke, like Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck..."?

"If you joined the board when the Dead Sea was just then getting sick...you're an old timer."

"If you were once T'Bonz's babysitter...you're an old timer."

"If you have a tattoo that says GEORGE WASHINGTON SLEPT HERE...you're an old timer."

Re: Any old timers still around?

When I joined, at least one of Alec Baldwin's brothers was still considered talented.

Now pass me that hard candy, kid. Matlock's about to come on.

Re: Any old timers still around?

For those of you that were here when the board crashed at the turn of the century, Christian (Or an intern with his rubber stamp) "guessed" some of my personal statistics, which included my sign up date, while rebuilding the database.

He was off by 6 months.

Was that just me, or do a few of you now recall that you have to subtract 6 months, maybe a year from what your user profile incredibly claims to be your point of origin?
