Well I'm kinda glad they didn't actually film something like that, because it is very Blink. That said my throat did get a little tight when Arthur was reading, and it's sweet to think they ended up adopting.

Lovely ending for Brian Williams, but I do wish it was filmed despite its similarity to "Blink" (and likewise Back to the Future II).

At the time, the episode didn't do that for me either. But I do tear up a little whenever I catch a gif or clip of those final moments. And this did it for me as well.

I really will miss Matt, Karen and Arthur together.

It surprised me that I could play that clip. So many of the videos and audio clups from the BBC DW site is blocked outside of the UK.

Great that we had "Rory" narrating the letter. Makes the clip a bit more official. And as Allyn Gibson said, I found it rather more moving than the aired material.
